My name is Pushpa Jagadish. I am very privileged to say that I am the first one to be benefited by Mekhala’s Weight loss programme.
I’d like to share my side of the story leading to my weight loss. From my young age, I have always been on the plumper side. So, I have always have been doing some or the other exercise. In spite of it I always remained over weight. After all, now being a female over the age of 50 I had given up on any hope of losing any weight. Does this sound like you?
When Mekhala lost a remarkable amount of weight following a regime, I became very interested in getting to know how she did it. That’s when she said that she would start a weight loss program. Hearing this, I jumped at it to take part in that program and reach my ideal BMI. That’s how I started taking consultation with Mekhala. She provided me with an easy regime to follow, which is so adaptable to my life style.
When I joined Mekhala’s program, as an over weight person, I had about 8 kilos to lose to reach my ideal BMI. It was not a huge weight to lose, but it wasn’t going to come off easily! The very first week into this program, I could see weight and centimetres around me coming off and it has continued ever since then!
With a consistent, patient and friendly manner, Mekhala guided me through the diet plan – explaining the importance of ‘food’ as to:
• which food should be eaten
• how much
• how often to eat
• total kilo joules to consume over a day
Mekhala guided me through the exercise plan by introducing:
• variations in the exercise
• when to increase cardio
• breathing exercise
• arms exercise
• Stretches to do each morning
I had reviews each week. Mekhala being so friendly, I could talk about any issues; like hurdles I had over the week, the positives and the negatives.
I am almost nearing my ideal weight. The journey so far has been so enjoyable and re-assuring! All because Mekhala has been a very motivational person encouraging and guiding me to approach weight loss in a healthy and enjoyable way.
I am so happy with the outcome of this program that I have recommended it to my friend and she is also seeing the same results as me. So this program is for any one and every one!

“I see the light…. at the end of the journey!”
It has only been a short time for me that I have been seeing Mekhala and already the changes are there for the entire world to see.
I have 30kgs to lose and probably some more and in a few months I have already dropped 8kgs. That is one dress size! The feeling I felt recently when my bottom went from a size 18 to a 16 and my top a 16 to a 14 was one of pure joy. This is not a rapid fire weight loss desire but a sensible long term approach to losing weight, keeping it off and staying healthy. And people are commenting at the changes, they can see shape in my body.
I am already in the right head space to keep going and Mekhala has made it so. Last year went by and I thought another year where I could have tried to lose weight but instead probably added more to my already large size. A friend of mine was seeing Mekhala and she motivated me to make contact. Now I am motivated all by myself to lose weight. What Mekhala does is to keep me even more motivated.
How does she do it you ask? Easy; with a kind heart, great tips, solutions to when I am busy or away from home. Recently my husband asked me if I had to go in to see Mekhala for my weekly weigh in. I replied ‘She keeps me honest’. I know what I need to do but each week when I see the weight dropping off we have a great discussion about what I did that week. Some weeks the drop is not as high as it should be but I have always lost something. I always leave with a smile on my face because as I tell her we’re in for the long haul. 200gms, 400gms, a loss is a loss. As long as the scale is heading south I am happy.
Mekhala will offer solutions to try and work out ways to balance my eating habits, which I feel I have down pat to what exercise activities I might want to do to assist in not only my weight loss but my fitness. I haven’t climbed stairs for years. For the past few years at work I have taken the lift to my floor, now I climb them every day. In fact it is one of our strategies and at 11:00am every morning I take myself off for a little break and go down those stairs and up those stairs (and there are lots) for four repetitions. When I first started I was puffing and panting for 10 mins after, now it feels like it only takes minutes to recover. When I hear that heavy breathing I know I have done something healthy to my body.
I no longer eat my lunch at my desk and with my friend we go down those stairs, walk for half an hour and then eat. Two things happen here, I am physically moving and secondly I am taking time out for me. It’s important to do both. I would work at my desk for 8 hrs a day with my sandwich and not move other than to get a cup of tea. When I now take mobile phone calls I walk up and down the corridor again to keep moving. I haven’t quite got there yet with my exercise regime and discipline but I am certainly doing more than I was three months ago.
Finally the important thing I love about Mekhala is that she is such a positive uplifting person who knows what she is doing. As I said, even on weeks where my weight loss has been small there are no recriminations just what can we do this week to help you? She is here to help you.
